Battlesbridge Free Church

I absolutely love the choir! Since joining on the very first taster night , I now have a fabulous group of amazing people to look forward to spending time with every Friday evening...singing and having fun with.

Nova's warm and friendly approach welcomes us every week, her beautiful voice is inspirational and her hard work is very much appreciated. I feel privileged to be a member of such a great community group. Sue Roberts

'I spotted a ‘Raise Your Voice’ flyer at a time when I felt I needed something ‘new’ in my life, but had no idea what. I like music but had never sung, apart from joining in a cruise ship choir taster once which I really enjoyed but joining a choir? Could I do that? I dithered for a while, then nervously took the plunge and went along. The choir are so friendly, from all walks of life and all age groups, and we laugh a lot! Nova gently encourages and inspires us, and provides such a wide variety of music and I love it all. It was a relief to find that you do not need to sing on your own at any time (unless you want to) and neither do you need to be able to read music, but I learn something new every week.' I met Nova the day I went along to the first night of the new community choir. Little did I know what an important part of my life this choir would become.

Nova is not only wonderfully talented, she is patient, kind and incredibly nurturing when it comes to singing. She's given me a confidence I haven't had since I was a five year old singing in the school assembly.

A fabulous teacher and leader.
